Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel has unveiled a major transformation following a $50 million enhancement, marking a new chapter for the Bangkok luxury landmark after more than four decades of operation.
Originally opened in 1983, the hotel has been
refreshed while preserving key elements of its Thai heritage,
including its iconic 100-metre hand-painted lobby mural.
The renovation includes the complete redesign of
all 335 guestrooms, suites and villas, featuring Thai-inspired interiors
with teak, silk and handcrafted details.
New Anantara Garden Pool Suites and Villas
offer private pools and indoor-outdoor living, while the Jim
Thompson Explorer Suite combines traditional Thai design with
contemporary luxury.
The hotel’s nine restaurants, including Spice Market,
Biscotti and Shintaro, have also been enhanced.
Meeting and event spaces, the Anantara Spa
and Siam Sports Club have undergone extensive upgrades, adding
new wellness and fitness facilities.
General Manager Torsten Richter said
the transformation aims to balance modern luxury with the
hotel’s cultural heritage, ensuring Anantara Siam remains
a leading destination for travellers seeking authentic Thai
hospitality. -TTN
