Six Senses sets Q4 UAE debut on Palm Jumeirah

Dubai’s hospitality scene is renowned for monumental scale and high-octane energy, but the arrival of Six Senses The Palm, Dubai marks a deliberate shift toward restoration, intimate luxury, and conscious living.

Scheduled to open in Q4 2026 on the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah, the property represents the brand’s highly anticipated debut in the UAE. With just 61 suites, the resort steps away from mega-resort proportions, opting instead for a boutique layout centred around privacy, expansive gardens, and direct access to the Arabian Gulf.

Designed as a climate-responsive coastal sanctuary, the resort pairs minimalist modern architecture with organic, sand-toned materials, timber, and regional stonework. Shaded courtyards, sculpted landforms, and native planting cool the landscape naturally, guiding guests from three central pools down to a secluded private beachfront.

The boutique residential inventory focuses on scale and personal service. Interiors of the property feature ethical artisan craftsmanship, including recycled-yarn floor coverings by Jaipur Rugs and locally developed ‘Datecrete’ bricks - crafted from date pits.

The suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, private sea-facing terraces, plunge pools and dedicated 24-hour Guest Experience Makers (GEMs). One of the key highlights on the accommodation front is the Three-Bedroom Private Reserve, a 350 sq m family retreat with an open kitchen, separate dining room, private pool, and direct garden access.

“For me, the Three Bedroom Private Reserve represents the most elevated expression of our suite experience, combining generous indoor and outdoor living with a private pool and truly exceptional views - even by Dubai standards!” Christian Gurtner, General Manager of Six Senses The Palm, tells TTN readers.

Wellness forms the core of the Six Senses experience around the world and also forms the foundation of its UAE debut. Spanning 5,500 sq m across indoor and outdoor facilities, the new Six Senses Spa bridges holistic therapy with preventative medical science in collaboration with the Nova Clinic.

“On the wellness side, our 5,500 square metre Six Senses Spa is particularly special, bringing together everything from traditional therapies to advanced diagnostics, longevity and biohacking in one integrated experience," says Gurtner, who has been leading European properties for Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas since June 2021.

Operational sustainability is also deeply embedded into the Six Senses identity as is seen in the property's infrastructure. Six Senses The Palm operates on a zero single-use plastic model, driven by an on-site water filtration, mineralisation, and bottling plant. Circular water management systems treat greywater and repurpose air-conditioning condensate for landscape irrigation.

At the centre of the resort is the Earth Lab, an interactive civic hub where guests, residents, and the local community can participate in upcycling workshops and learn about resource conservation. Beyond operations, 0.5% of total resort revenue is directed to a dedicated Sustainability Fund to finance regional environmental and social impact initiatives.

What we want Six Senses The Palm to feel like - connected to nature, restorative and distinctly representative of its setting
- Christian Gurtner

Culinary venues across the property adhere to the Eat with Six Senses philosophy, focusing on regional organic produce, clean nutrition, and seasonal sourcing, says Gurtner. His background includes a deep affinity with food and beverage, shaped by earlier roles and project work across international markets. ROKA is the resort's flagship dining destination, serving contemporary Japanese robatayaki from an elevated sky garden with panoramic views of the Dubai skyline. LOÄM serves  Mediterranean-inspired cuisine focused on fresh, market-driven ingredients; EVY Lounge is a gathering space transitioning from morning artisanal coffee and afternoon tea to evening aperitifs. Two12 & Beach Bar offers intimate settings for handcrafted drinks, coastal snacks, and open-air dining along the water’s edge.

“Personally, my favourite space is where the gardens meet the beachfront,” Gurtner says. “There is something very calming about that transition to the sea, and for me it captures what we want Six Senses The Palm to feel like: connected to nature, restorative and distinctly representative of its setting.”

Six Senses The Palm, Dubai opens reservations for its Q4 2026 launch across IHG channels, dedicated travel partners and direct booking.
