Saudi Arabia wins Formula E award
Saudi Arabia has hosted the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship since 2018

Saudi Arabia has become the first recipient of Formula E’s new Best Host Country award, recognising its contribution to event delivery, infrastructure and partnership. The award was presented during the 2025/26 Formula E End of Season Awards in London.

Saudi Arabia has hosted the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship since 2018. The race moved from Diriyah to Jeddah in 2025. The inaugural Jeddah E-Prix became the most-watched Formula E race weekend, attracting 65 million cumulative global viewers. Jeddah also became the first venue to introduce Formula E’s PIT BOOST feature.

Saudi Arabia will next host the 2026/27 season-opening double-header on December 18 to 19, 2026. The event will also mark the competitive debut of Formula E’s new GEN4 race car, featuring faster performance, greater efficiency and enhanced racing.
