Atlantis Dubai has reaffirmed its regional leadership in responsible hospitality after securing three prestigious sustainability accreditations across its destination portfolio, highlighting verifiable gains in resource conservation and emissions reduction.
Atlantis, The Palm and Aquaventure World have achieved EarthCheck Gold Certification for the seventh consecutive year, while Atlantis The Royal retained EarthCheck Silver for its third consecutive year. Both luxury resort properties also retained the Dubai Sustainable Tourism (DST) Gold Stamp - the highest tier awarded by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) - and earned renewed recognition as VERIFIED Responsible Hospitality properties by Forbes Travel Guide.

Emissions, utilities: Atlantis The Royal cut energy use by 20.2 per cent, Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 18.9 per cent, and potable water consumption by 19.4 per cent year-on-year. Atlantis, The Palm reduced energy use by 8.6 per cent and GHG emissions by 7.5 per cent, limiting landfill waste to 1.8 litres per guest night. Aquaventure World achieved year-on-year drops of 12.4 per cent in energy use and 8.4 per cent in GHG emissions.
Clean energy, waste reduction: More than 2,000 on-site solar panels generate approximately 1.8 million kWh of clean power annually across Atlantis, The Palm and Aquaventure World. The destination eliminates over 3.6 million single-use plastic bottles per year via its dedicated bottling plant and refill stations.
AI-driven culinary efficiency: Implementing Winnow AI food-waste tracking across major dining venues (Saffron, Kaleidoscope, and Gastronomy) has reduced edible food waste per cover by an average of 69.72 per cent against the 2022–2024 baseline.
Responsible sourcing: 100 per cent of contracted seafood is traceable through the SFS Trace platform under Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability (GDST) standards, and 100% of paper products are FSC-certified.
Social impact, inclusion: The destination remains the Middle East’s first IBCCES Certified Autism Center, with over 90 per cent of front-line staff trained in sensory awareness. Through the Atlantis Atlas Project, over $500,000 has been deployed across 30 marine conservation projects since 2021.
