FIFA unveils Women’s World Cup 2027 schedule
FIFA releases the match schedule for FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027

FIFA has officially released the 64-fixture match schedule for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027, unlocking significant long-haul outbound opportunities for Middle East travel operators and sports tourism specialists.

The tournament will run across eight host cities, kicking off on June 24, 2027, at Rio de Janeiro’s iconic Estádio do Maracanã. The opening match sees hosts Brazil begin their campaign before traveling to São Paulo’s Arena Itaquera on June 29 and Brasília’s Estádio Nacional on July 4.

Every host city will stage at least seven fixtures, including a minimum of one knockout tie, allowing regional tour operators to package multi-destination itineraries across Brazil.

Final & opening match: Estádio do Maracanã (Rio de Janeiro)

Semi-finals & 3rd place playoff: São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro

Quarter-finals: Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo

Round-of-16 hubs: Brasília, Porto Alegre, Recife, and Salvador

The tournament marks a historic milestone for sports heritage travel: Rio’s Maracanã will become only the third stadium in history to host both a men’s and women’s FIFA World Cup final, joining California’s Rose Bowl and Sweden’s Råsunda Stadium.

With official FIFA Fan Festivals planned nationwide and match schedules designed to minimise team and spectator transit, the tournament offers high potential for GCC travel agents curating experiential sports packages. Outbound demand is expected to centre around key aviation gateways like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, combined with regional leisure extensions in the Northeast.

The final match schedule with confirmed team pairings will be published following the final draw later this year, signalling the official rollout of global ticketing and hospitality programmes.
