Hyatt Hotels Corporation and RJR Investments & Holdings Inc. announced that Atlantic Suites Hotel has joined Hyatt’s portfolio as its first affiliated hotel in Guyana. The property is expected to become Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana in 2028 following an estimated $50 million expansion.
The project will connect the existing hotel to a new
adjoining tower, creating a 240-room property with a signature restaurant,
market, lobby and rooftop bars, plus expanded meeting and event facilities.
Located in Georgetown, Guyana’s commercial capital, Atlantic
Suites currently offers 80 guestrooms and suites, a 24-hour fitness centre and
access to amenities at the neighbouring Pegasus Hotel. The development will
introduce the Hyatt Regency brand to Guyana.
