Tenders worth $10.7 billion will be issued for the Port Polska infrastructure programme by the close of 2026, with 29 contracts already awarded and a further 58 expected, reported GCR, citing senior Polish officials.
The megaproject involves building 2,000km of high-speed rail and highway upgrades to bring all major Polish cities to within a 2.5 hour journey from a new airport west of Warsaw.Contracts yet to be tendered this year include sections of the Warsaw–Łódź High-Speed Rail line and construction of the airport’s cargo terminal, large-scale earthworks and airport infrastructure in the airside and landside areas.Many of the contracts are moving from the preparation stage to design and construction.
