Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel Suites & Apartments has adopted environmental best practices following the Green Globe Certification standard by implementing series of actions to minimise the impact on its surroundings.

The hotel has successfully applied the Aqua clear electro chlorination system, which uses natural products and salt to generate chlorine. The chlorine consumed through disinfection is converted back to salt and recycled to make chlorine again. This system makes the entire process safe, environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Moreover, Mercure's sustainable practices go hand-in-hand with its efforts in social responsibility.

To contribute positively to the community, the team volunteered to support the Beit Al Khair society by donating clothes for the less privileged children in the UAE. Furthermore, the Mercure Hotel Dubai Barsha Height team participated in the blood donation camp conducted by Dubai Health Authorities.

Levent Tasbas, General Manager of Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel Suites & Apartments, said: “We are concerned with our customers' needs and at the same time concerned with the well-being of our world. Being certified by Green Globe means that this 1,015 room hotel has adopted the hospitality industry's best environmental practices. We constantly aim to improve our performance, identify specific focus areas, and explore additional social responsibility opportunities. Moreover, we will continue involving our guests, colleagues, team, owners, and business partners to protect the environment for a better future.” - TradeArabia News Service
