Staytus launches Hotel Chat

STAYTUS, a leading provider of digital marketing and communications solutions for luxury hotels, announced Hotel Chat, the first chat platform built exclusively for hospitality. The web-based service is designed to connect guests and hotels before, during and after the stay. Publicly accessible by all guests regardless of their personal messaging preferences, Hotel Chat is free of charge for hotels to use. Hotel Chat bridges the gap between guests' demands for contactless interactions and hotels' need for a simple, secure means of managing communications and delivering service digitally.

From the guest side, Hotel Chat offers an instant connection to the hotel and does not require an app to use. Guests simply scan a QR code or click a link to begin a safe, COVID-friendly interaction in more than 100 languages.

From the hotel side, messages are received on a purpose-built platform designed for service. Messages can be viewed by an unlimited number of staff users. Staff can respond to guests in their native language and collaborate internally for a faster response.


Amadeus partners with OK Travels

AMADEUS has signed a wide-ranging technology partnership agreement with OK Travels and Tourism LLC, a fully-fledged tour operator and ticket sales travel company in Abu Dhabi. The partnership with Amadeus will provide OK Travels and Tourism with access to a range of cutting-edge travel solutions including artificial intelligence, all designed to deliver a superior level of service to customers and remove friction from the travel experience.

Under the agreement, OK Travels and Tourism will benefit from products including Amadeus Web Services, which allows the creation of customer applications and delivery of a wealth of high-quality tailored content for customers; Business Management Platform, incorporating various solutions such as Robotic Ticketing tools and Sales Data management systems to support pricing, comparing, and ticketing automation through a single platform; Amadeus All Fares Plus, through which agents can find the best air deals for customers in minutes by accessing and comparing multiple content sources; Amadeus B2B Wallet that provides seamless end-to-end travel payments with benefits such as choice, reach, and orchestration, as well as other solutions.  


Wizz Air Abu Dhabi launches price alert app

WIZZ Air Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s new national airline, has introduced a new feature on its mobile app, which will enable Wizz Air Abu Dhabi customers to activate price alerts on flights of interest.

With this app update, registered users can now set up price alerts on up to five flights they are interested to book. This new feature will automatically notify users of increases or decreases in ticket prices, so that customers can book quickly if fares suddenly start to climb or take advantage of price drops on Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s already ultra-low basic fares.

Paulina Gosk, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, said: “At WIZZ, we understand that passengers are looking for affordable flights when they plan their travels, which is why we’ve always been committed to offering the lowest fares in the industry. The price alert app feature builds on this commitment, enabling Wizz Air customers to secure the best deals on flights through updates sent straight to their smartphone.”


Marriott Bonvoy app refreshed

MARRIOTT Bonvoy, has released a redesigned, more intuitive version of its mobile app in anticipation of increased desire and demand for travel later this year.  As a part of the refresh, members residing or visiting the UAE can access a QR code in the app that can be scanned at select on-property restaurants to earn and redeem points for food and beverage purchases. The programme also announced that the app will be available in Arabic from August.

The app now offers members even more personalised recommendations and offers so members can maximise their points earned both while traveling and even when they are not.

The app will make it easier for guests to choose a contactless option for check-in and check-out, easy access to mobile keys, and the ability to request services and amenities via chat and mobile requests.
