EHL appoints Abdo

Zeina Abdo has been appointed Alumni & Industry Relations Associate Director at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), consistently regarded as the best hospitality school in the world. She has built an international career in strategy, commercial development and marketing communications.

 

Skyscanner appoints CEO

Metasearch engine Skyscanner, owned by Trip.com, has appointed Moshe Rafiah as Chief Executive Officer. Moshe has a master’s degree in law. He is an international lawyer qualified as a US Attorney as well as a UK Solicitor. Moshe will also lead Travelfusion, bought by Trip.com in 2015.

 

ACI appoints key members

Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific appointed new board officers elected for a two-year period: H.E. Ali Salim AL MIDFA, chairman, Sharjah Airport Authority, UAE as Second Vice President (pictured here) and SGK KISHORE, executive director, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd..

 

New team at Empordà

Empordà Golf Resort has appointed a new management team for overseeing and delivering a major upgrade in all the Costa Brava resort’s facilities, with its two 18-hole championship golf courses, four-star hotel and leisure amenities. Leading Empordà’s team will be new General Manager Miguel Girbés.

 

Tan joins Vakkaru Maldives

Vakkaru Maldives has appointed Janice Tan as its new director of sales and marketing. Janice was instrumental in launching luxury resorts in the Maldives including Anantara Naladhu, as Anantara Group's cluster director of public relations, Velaa Private Island and Raffles Maldives Meradhoo, where she served as DOSM.

 

Disney veteran to join Georgia

The Georgia Department of Economic Development has appointed Mark Jaronski, a veteran Disney marketing executive, to lead Explore Georgia, the state tourism office. Jaronski will guide the team responsible for attracting tourists from across the globe to the state. Jaronski spent 16 years with Disney.

 

Gatwick Airport gets new CCO

Jonathan Pollard has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer at Gatwick Airport, responsible for driving forward airline relations, retail, restaurants and other commercial revenue streams, including car parking and property portfolios. He was previously the Commercial Director at Luton Airport.

 

Boeing appoints VP of HR

Michael D’Ambrose has been appointed Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Boeing for the company’s leadership, talent planning, employee and labour relations, as well as diversity initiatives. Prior to this, he worked at ADM where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer since 2006.
