Ennismore, a lifestyle hospitality company, and YAMED, the property development platform of Ynexis Group, announced the signing of Delano Marrakech Hotel & Residences, marking the first appearance of the Delano brand in Africa.
The project places
Marrakech alongside Miami and Dubai as a key destination in Delano’s global
expansion.
The development will
feature 130 hotel guestrooms, including suites and private villas, as well as
approximately 80 branded villa-style residences.
The design combines
Delano’s modern aesthetic with locally inspired architecture and landscaping to
create a strong connection between indoor and outdoor living.
At the centre of the
resort will be a large social pool area designed to transition from a relaxed
daytime atmosphere to a more vibrant evening setting.
Additional facilities
will include a spa, fitness centre, racket courts, and versatile event and
meeting spaces.
The project is being
designed by Elastic Architects in collaboration with Ennismore and YAMED’s
in-house team.
Sales for the
residences are expected to begin in late 2026, with the hotel scheduled to open
in 2030.
The branded residences
will be the first Delano residences outside the US.
They will consist of
four- to six-bedroom villas with private pools and exclusive amenities for
homeowners, including a private lobby, lounge, fitness centre, clubhouse, and
screening room.
Residents will benefit
from a lifestyle that combines private home ownership with the services and
community atmosphere of a luxury hotel.
Shared services will include concierge
assistance, valet parking, and 24-hour doorman support, while optional
on-demand services such as housekeeping, laundry, pet care, and property
maintenance will also be available.
Located in a
prestigious area of Marrakech, the development is surrounded by cultural and
leisure attractions including the Medina, Jardin Majorelle, the Atlas
Mountains, and major golf courses such as Royal Golf Marrakech and Amelkis Golf
Club. The setting blends heritage, nature, and contemporary lifestyle
experiences.
Food and beverage will
be a major focus of the resort. Managed through Ennismore’s F&B platform,
Paris Society, the property will introduce two internationally recognised
dining concepts to Marrakech for the first time.
Café Delano will serve
as a casual social venue throughout the day, while the Rose Bar will deliver
Delano’s nightlife experience.
Wellness offerings
will centre around The Source by Delano, a modern wellbeing concept focused on
immersive rituals, movement, and social wellness experiences inspired by local
traditions.
The property will also
feature curated retail spaces, including Nothing Finer, Delano’s design-led
retail platform showcasing carefully selected lifestyle and design products.
Gaurav Bhushan, CEO of
Ennismore, said: “Delano has always been about creating places that feel both
timeless and culturally connected - spaces where design, energy and community
come together with ease. Marrakech, with its rich heritage, creative spirit and
global appeal, offers a natural setting for the brand. This project allows us
to bring Delano’s refined resort experience to a destination that has long
inspired travellers, while introducing a new way to live the brand through both
hospitality and residential living.”
Karim Beqqali, Founder
and CEO of YAMED and YNEXIS GROUP, said: "At YAMED, we have spent over a
decade shaping landmark projects at the crossroads of real estate, hospitality,
and luxury living. Our partnership with Ennismore and the Delano brand is the
natural next step in that journey. Together, we are creating a new destination
in the heart of Marrakech, one that stands alongside the finest in the world,
while remaining deeply rooted in the spirit of the city. With Delano Hotel
& Residences Marrakech, we are bringing together hospitality and
residential living into a single, seamless luxury lifestyle offering, one that
draws its strength from the city itself, and sets a new standard for what
Marrakech can offer the world.” -TradeArabia News Service
