Malaysia is set to showcase its rich cultural heritage with Citrawarna Malaysia 2026 (Colours of Malaysia), taking place from July 24–26 at Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur, as part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.
Held under the theme
“The Rhythm. The Soul. The Nation.”, the three-day festival will bring together
performers, artists and cultural communities from across the country.
Visitors can enjoy
four signature experiences—Colours of Parade, Colours of Flavours, Colours of
Art and Colours of Culture—highlighting Malaysia’s multicultural traditions,
cuisine and artistic heritage.
The festival’s
centrepiece will be the Colours of Parade on July 25, featuring vibrant
processions of traditional costumes, music, dance and storytelling representing
Malaysia’s states and diverse communities.
Guests can also
explore live cooking demonstrations, food showcases, handicraft exhibitions and
interactive cultural activities.
Organisers are
encouraging visitors to extend their stay to discover Malaysia’s iconic cities,
beaches, rainforests and wildlife, reinforcing the country’s appeal as a
leading destination for culture, nature and family travel. -TTN
