The London street scenes use authentic props

ICONIC British red telephone boxes and original road signs make up a replica London street scene at the Middle East’s largest paintball park which was recently opened by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Thani at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club.

The park has a military hangar theme with a main reception and registration desk, a café by Grab’N’Go, a pro shop selling paintball accessories, male and female changing rooms, showers, lockers and briefing rooms.

Its two new fields are a fresh concept in the UAE - one is a replica of the City of London, where a London taxi and a Rolls-Royce create the atmosphere of the UK capital, along with a replica of Hyde Park and famous London landmarks such as Harrods, The Ritz and several others.

To complete the London ‘experience’, there are authentic street signs, red telephone booths, lamp posts, and post-boxes all imported from the UK. The entrance to the field is a replica of the London Underground Knightsbridge station. The field also has a built-in sound system and ultra violet lights for exciting ‘glow in the dark’ games at night.

The second field is designed as a bank and will be used for a new concept which is a first in the UAE known as CQC – Close Quarter Combat. It is furnished as the actual interior of a bank with desks, an ATM machine and a vault room and will also be monitored by CCTV.

The Sharjah Paintball Park also includes three outdoor fields that are unique in the UAE with aeroplanes, Jeeps, bunkers and high towers.

Sheikh Abdullah,  who is chairman of the shooting club, said: “Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club is proud to include the biggest Paintball Park in the Middle East within its premises. We are pleased to announce these amazing new features brought in from around the globe, which will benefit everyone, making every visit a fun experience for families, from the UAE and around the region.”
