Geneva to play host to UEFA Women’s Euro 2025

Share

Geneva is preparing for a double offensive with two major initiatives for women and sport: UEFA Women's EURO 2025 in July and the #ChangeonsLaDonne campaign. With nearly 100,000 spectators expected, Geneva is positioning itself as a pillar of UEFA Women's EURO 2025.

The Stade de Genève Foundation has launched a major renovation program, funded by the canton, to modernise the infrastructure and create a welcoming environment for the public.

The City of Geneva is creating a Sports Village on Quai Gustave Ador, organising sports demonstrations, introductions, and meet-and-greets with athletes to promote women's sports and inspire younger generations. A Fan Zone will also welcome the public, offering free access to live broadcasts of matches and entertainment from July 2 to 27, 2025.

The partnership between the WEURO Geneva 2025 Association and the AGS aims to make this major tournament a catalyst with a lasting impact that goes beyond the field, redefining the standards of women's sport both athletically and socially. Visitors can enjoy activities around Lake Geneva, such as water sports, panoramic views of the Jet d’Eau, and trips onboard the Belle Epoque steamboat.

The city's parks, nestled on the lakeside, offer a cool break on hot summer days, including the Botanical Garden, Parc de la Perle du Lac, and the Parc la Grange. The City Pass provides free or discounted access to a wide range of attractions, museums, and activities across the city. -TradeArabia News Service
