Marriott International has signed a multi-year partnership with leading European football club FC Bayern, with Courtyard by Marriott becoming the official hotel partner for Germany’s most popular and successful football club.

The partnership will also give the 100 million members of Marriott’s loyalty programmes – Marriott Rewards, which includes The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) – access to once-in-a-lifetime, football experiences through Marriott Rewards Moments, as well as SPG Moments. The experiences will include exclusive access to Bayern’s domestic and European matches, and VIP match-day hospitality in the Courtyard by Marriott Suite at the Allianz Arena.

The partnership helps bring an unprecedented match-day experience to life through a Courtyard by Marriott lens with a custom-built executive box offering fantastic views of the pitch in the world-renowned Allianz Arena. With modern furnishings inspired by Courtyard’s latest design and a Courtyard bar serving crafted cocktails and elevated menu options, the box gives guests a taste of the look and feel of a stay at a Courtyard hotel.

“Courtyard Hotel guests are passionate, hard-working and success-driven, much like that of an elite athlete,” said John Licence, VP Premium and Select Brands at Marriott International Europe. “Partnering with the most successful club in German football history makes for a winning combination for our guests.”

“We are delighted for two leading brands such as Courtyard by Marriott and FC Bayern to be entering into a long-term partnership. With Marriott International being the world’s largest hotel chain and FC Bayern one of the world’s most successful football clubs, I am convinced that this is a perfect match and very authentic partnership. I am particularly pleased that our fans can also benefit from this partnership, with our new official hotel partner providing them with attractive offers for both home and away matches”, said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of FC Bayern.

European Away Days: Members can bid Marriott Rewards points for the chance to travel with the team during their European campaign. The experience includes travel with the team to a European away game, post-match dinner with the team, tickets to the game, and an overnight stay in the FC Bayern hotel.

The Suite Life: Members can redeem Marriott Rewards points against a range of domestic and European home-game packages including exclusive access to the new Courtyard Suite at the iconic Allianz Arena with full hospitality, and an overnight stay in Munich.
