ONE&ONLY The Palm, Dubai, is set to open its doors on 10.10.10.
Located on a secluded peninsula of the Palm Jumeirah, the resort will provide guests with an intimate, island-feel getaway in tune with the brand’s luxurious portfolio of hotels.
General manager Michael Payne, said: “One&Only The Palm will offer a unique alternative for all past, present and future guests of our exciting properties and any visitor to the region. The One&Only The Palm sits at the end of the Palm Jumeirah’s left side crescent, opposite the Royal Mirage, and boasts a 350-m private beach.The resort will be accessible through a private marina using swift water-taxi transfers or by traditional limousine.
The property blends Moorish and Andalusian architecture and consists of 91 keys and four exclusive beach villas. Guest rooms are secluded in a residential environment within the tri-level manor house and six low-rise mansions and there is also the 350-sq-m Grand Palm Suite.
Vaulted spaces, rhythmic symmetry, expansive arched windows and decorative Arabesque flourishes define the furnished rooms and suites, all with outdoor terrace or private pool. The interiors are heavily influenced by Arabia’s rich history of design including finely woven fabrics, intricately carved dark wood furnishings and ornamental glassworks creating a chic and modern enclave incorporating fresh and contemporary free-flowing interiors.
Guests will have access to the resort’s private leisure facilities including a stunning 850-sq-m swimming pool and the all-suite One&Only Spa and fitness centre. The spa, a key element of the hotel, will feature nine private suites and offer an extensive portfolio of Espa therapies. In addition, One&Only The Palm has developed specific programmes, described as journeys, focusing on various personal wellness and lifestyle aspects such as nutrition, skin care, stress relief, physiotherapy, detox and fitness assessments.
Ahead of its opening, Payne believes that the established success of One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai is a testimony that Dubai warrants such exclusive high-end hospitality for its present and future.
“One&Only The Palm in view of its limited room, suite and villa inventory will definitely attract a niche market seeking privacy, comfort and exclusivity. Considering the interest and the expected busy holiday time of the year, we believe that occupancy can be secured with One&Only repeat clientele already known to us,” he said.
In fact, he said all three One&Only properties – the Royal Mirage, The Palace and the Arabian Court and Residence & Spa have enjoyed excellent business throughout the past years.
And the new property has already received tremendous interest with special opening rates on offer from November 13, 2010 onwards.
