Germany is inviting travellers from the GCC to experience a season of culture, leisure, and family-friendly discovery, with its cities and landscapes offering a balanced mix of heritage, nature, and modern attractions during the summer and Eid holiday period.

Across Munich, Cologne, Berlin, and Hamburg, Destination Germany presents a diverse travel experience supported by efficient transport links, high-speed rail connections, and comfortable summer conditions that enhance sightseeing and outdoor activities.

In Munich, visitors can explore Bavarian heritage through landmarks such as Marienplatz, the Frauenkirche, and Nymphenburg Palace, alongside expansive green spaces like the English Garden and Olympiapark.

The city also offers cultural depth through museums such as the Deutsches Museum and Pinakothek galleries.

Family-focused attractions include Magic Bavaria, an interactive indoor experience featuring immersive illusion rooms, creative photo installations, and hands-on cultural storytelling designed for all ages.

Cologne offers a contrasting riverside experience, anchored by the Cologne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Rhine promenade becomes a focal point in summer, with open-air cafés and scenic walks, while the Old Town and districts like the Belgian Quarter highlight the city’s creative and contemporary lifestyle.

Berlin combines historical landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and Museum Island with modern urban districts including Potsdamer Platz and Charlottenburg.

Its parks, especially Tiergarten, along with seasonal markets and outdoor dining, make it particularly attractive for families and leisure travellers.

Hamburg delivers a maritime experience shaped by its harbour and waterways. The UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt, HafenCity, and the Elbphilharmonie showcase its blend of history and modern architecture.

The Alster lakes and waterfront promenades provide relaxed outdoor spaces, complemented by cultural venues and attractions such as Miniatur Wunderland.

Yamina Sofo, Director of the Marketing and Sales Office at GNTO GCC, said: "Germany continues to offer GCC travellers a diverse and enriching travel experience that combines culture, nature, family-friendly attractions and modern comfort. During the Eid and summer travel season, visitors can enjoy our vibrant cities, scenic green spaces and immersive experiences at a relaxed pace, while discovering the welcoming atmosphere and accessibility that make Germany such a rewarding destination for families, couples and groups alike.”  -TTN
