Egypt returns to IFTM Paris 2025 with a bold message: the country’s tourism offering is entering a new era, one defined by unmatched diversity, spiritual richness, innovation, and sustainability.

Under the vision of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Egypt is unveiling a portfolio of new experiences, from eco-tourism to exclusive cultural journeys, designed to meet the evolving expectations of French and global travellers alike.

Egypt’s timeless ancient wonders form just the beginning of a journey that unveils the country’s full cultural, spiritual, and natural richness.

From vibrant urban hubs like Cairo and Alexandria to serene escapes in Siwa or Sinai, the destination caters to all travel desires.

A growing interest in spiritual tourism has also inspired curated routes connecting sacred sites across Egypt, creating transformative journeys for modern pilgrims.

After years of anticipation, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) will officially open its doors on November 1st, 2025. Overlooking the Pyramids of Giza, this architectural and cultural marvel is the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilisation — ancient Egypt. It offers an unparalleled visitor experience with several artifacts, among them the full Tutankhamun collection displayed together for the first time, set within a cutting-edge space that blends history, technology, and immersive storytelling.

At the heart of Egypt’s tourism renaissance is the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ integrated strategy, which prioritises sustainable growth, product diversification, and destination development. From infrastructure improvements to strategic partnerships with international operators, the Ministry is ensuring Egypt remains a top-tier travel destination well into the future.

In response to the demands of today’s travellers, Egypt is launching a wave of new travel products. Boutique eco-lodges, immersive cultural circuits, wellness retreats, and luxury desert safaris. These experiences cater to both the explorer and the connoisseur, providing high-quality offerings at competitive value.

Egypt’s investment in eco-tourism has grown significantly, especially around the Red Sea and Nile Valley. The country has implemented stronger marine protection policies, promoted plastic-free tourism zones, and enhanced green certifications for hotels and operators. These efforts ensure visitors can experience Egypt’s breathtaking biodiversity responsibly. Whether diving in coral reefs, bird-watching in the Nile Delta, or trekking in the White Desert.

“Egypt combines the allure of timeless ancient wonders with new, immersive experiences that showcase the country’s full spectrum of heritage and life,” said Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Authority. “From the Grand Egyptian Museum to our expanding eco-tourism projects, and with investments in digital innovation and infrastructure, Egypt is future-ready and more welcoming than ever.” -TradeArabia News Service
