Marriott to debut Moxy Hotels in Middle East
Marriott International has signed an agreement with Ingenious Holding to debut the company’s bold and experiential Moxy Hotels brand in the Middle East.
Slated to open in 2025, Moxy Downtown Dubai is expected to feature 320 modern bedrooms with smart modular furniture, hi-tech touches and furiously fast Wi-Fi. The industrial-chic design will include buzzing social spaces, such as a rooftop bar and restaurant with stunning views of Downtown Dubai, a bowling alley and a swimming pool.
The hotel will also highlight several of the Moxy brand’s signature public spaces including its Library where guests can plug-in and tune out; The Welcome for guests to check-in and hang out; and THE GYM, which offers a fully equipped fitness centre.
Moxy Downtown Dubai will encompass the signatures of the brand such as its energetic lobby where guests are met by the welcoming crew, its smart and fun self-service B&F concept and its kinetic Living Room space for day to night gatherings.
Rove – the sole address at Expo 2020 Dubai
Rove Hotels has announced that it will be the only hotel at Expo 2020 Dubai, which will be taking place from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
The announcement was made by Ahmad Thani Rashed Al Matrooshi, Board Director of Rove Hotels, and Marjan Faraidooni, Chief Pavilions and Exhibitions Officer at Expo 2020 Dubai, who signed the official agreement.
Rove Expo 2020, located adjacent to Al Wasl Plaza, will open its doors on October 1, 2021, aligning with Expo’s rescheduled dates, before becoming a hospitality focal point for District 2020 after the event concludes.
The Rove Expo 2020 hotel – part of the Rove brand – will feature 312 king, twin and accessible Rover Rooms, as well as 19 Rover suites.
Double Tree by Hilton set for December opening
A project of AW Rostamani Group, DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences marks the Group’s remarkable entry into the hospitality industry. DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences, is set for a December opening. It will be standing next to Burjuman Shopping Mall and its metro station.
The 458-room property is the fourth DoubleTree by Hilton to open in Dubai and the sixth in the United Arab Emirates. The 19-storey hotel will provide 360-degree views of Dubai’s most popular attractions namely the iconic Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Frame, The Museum of the Future, Dubai Eye and the Burj Al Arab.
DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences will have three dining outlets including a Rooftop Pool Lounge with Dubai Skyline view, six meeting rooms and a grand ballroom, an executive lounge, outdoor swimming pools including one kids pool, fully equipped fitness centre and spa treatment rooms.
IHG brings a new voco hotel to Jeddah
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Saudi-based Arif Group to bring a new voco hotel to the city of Jeddah. A new built property, voco Jeddah North will feature 145 rooms and will open to guests in Q1 2022.
Enjoying a prime location, voco Jeddah North will be in close proximity to Jeddah Seasons square, Obhur Corniche and the Alexandria beach, and only 3 km from Kingdom City, the new anticipated centre of Jeddah. The hotel will be in proximity to the Obhur Bay, near the east coast of the Red Sea and will provide guests with easy access to some of the best beaches in the northern corniche of the city.
Being one of the closest hotels to the new Jeddah airport, offering 1,710 sq m of meeting and banqueting space (including two ballrooms of 500 square meters and 400 square meters), the hotel will be positioned as a perfect destination for upscale corporate guests and will be well suited for their MICE requirements.
