
UAE-based The Destination Hospitality Management has announced a partnership that will bring Cipriani to the Yas Yacht Club, part of the multibillion dollar Yas Island and Abu Dhabi’s first official yacht club.
Cipriani, the four generation family business, which operates in New York, Los Angeles, London, Venice, Hong Kong, Istanbul and Porto Cervo Sardinia, decided to launch operations with The destination after being approached by numerous groups.
Cipriani will open its signature Italian restaurant, a wine and bellini room, Yotto, the company’s first and only Japanese restaurant, a cigar lounge, Allure nightclub, a private member’s yacht club and catering facilities equipped to host royal events, weddings, concerts and public and private occasions.
The Yas Yacht Club, whose interior is designed by celebrated Italian architect Michele Bonan, is due to open this month. The Destination is a joint venture between Ali Jassim and Mohamed Bin Jabr Al Suwaidi and will own a portfolio of projects such as the Yas Yacht Club.
Al Suwaidi, co-founder and co-chairman of The Destination, commented: "I am very excited to bring such a world renowned brand to Abu Dhabi and especially to have been a pioneer investor in the Yas Island project.
