Etihad Airways’ Airbus A380 landed in Bangkok on October 26, marking the aircraft’s first arrival in Thailand and the launch of daily services between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport and the Thai capital.
The service introduces The Residence, the world’s only three-room suite
in the sky, to Thailand for the first time.
Passengers can also access First Apartments, Business Class lie-flat
seats and Economy Class.
The launch increases capacity ahead of the peak winter travel season,
supporting demand between Thailand, the Middle East and Europe.
It also expands Etihad’s premium offering in Asia, following the
introduction of daily A380 flights to Tokyo in June 2026.
Antonoaldo
Neves, Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Airways, said: “The arrival of our A380
in Bangkok is a significant milestone and another example of how we are
investing behind strong customer demand. Thailand is an important premium
market for Etihad, and deploying our flagship aircraft allows us to increase
capacity while bringing our most distinctive guest experience to the route. We
see tremendous opportunity across Thailand and the wider Asian market, and our
investment in the region reflects our confidence in its continued growth.
Bangkok joining our A380 network is an important part of that journey as we
expand our capacity, strengthen connectivity through Abu Dhabi and offer guests
even more reasons to choose Etihad.” -TradeArabia News Service
