Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s national carrier wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has opened bookings for direct flights to Milan, with services set to begin on December 16.
The airline will operate four flights a week, making
Milan its fifth European destination and 15th destination available for booking
across its expanding network.
The new route marks another step in Riyadh Air’s global
expansion strategy, connecting Saudi Arabia with major international business
and cultural centers.
Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas said the launch of ticket
sales to Milan marks another milestone in the carrier’s European expansion and
will strengthen relations between Saudi Arabia and Italy.
He highlighted Milan’s role as a global center for
business, culture, fashion and design, saying direct flights will improve
connectivity while supporting trade and tourism.
The new service is also expected to enhance cooperation
in luxury design and trade and boost tourism exchanges between the two
