Abu Dhabi set to host first-ever Euroleague Basketball SuperCup

Abu Dhabi will make history in European club basketball when it hosts the inaugural Euroleague Basketball SuperCup at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, on September 18 and 19.

The two-day tournament will feature four elite clubs: reigning EuroLeague champions Olympiacos Piraeus, 2025 champions Fenerbahce Tarfin Istanbul, 2026 finalists Real Madrid and UAE representatives Dubai Basketball.

Following a Final Four format, the opening games will take place on Friday, September 18, with Olympiacos facing Fenerbahce and Dubai Basketball meeting Real Madrid.

The tournament will conclude the following evening with the third-place match and the first SuperCup final.

Tickets are available for the full four-game package or individual days, allowing basketball fans to combine the matches with a weekend exploring Abu Dhabi.

Yas Island offers a range of attractions, including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld and Yas Marina Circuit, giving visitors plenty to experience before the evening games.

Food and entertainment options are also available at Yas Bay Waterfront, while Saadiyat Island provides a cultural escape with attractions including Louvre Abu Dhabi, teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and Zayed National Museum.

Visitors can also explore major landmarks such as Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Qasr Al Watan.

Accommodation close to Etihad Arena includes W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island and Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, while Al Raha Beach and Saadiyat Island offer additional options within easy reach.
