The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), an Aramco initiative, announced the launch of Ithra Winter 2025–2026, coinciding with Khobar Season.

The season's grand opening will feature a spectacular display of more than 1,000 drones adorning the sky with art-inspired formations, making it one of the largest visual shows in the region, reported SPA.

The season opens with a concert at Ithra’s Theatre featuring Saudi artists Abdulaziz Al-Muana and Abdullah Al-Mana, conducted by Maestro Wisam Khassaf.

Over four days, Ithra’s outdoor plazas will host a diverse lineup of live performances, including Saudi singer Saad Al-Oud, artist Arwa, and the choral ensemble Corala, presenting interactive shows that celebrate the vibrancy of the Saudi music scene.

The opening festivities will also include roaming performances, a concert by the Chinese Orchestra, and theatrical productions reflecting the richness and diversity of cultural events.

Art and heritage enthusiasts can look forward to the opening of Echoes of the Familiar on October 30, featuring 28 artworks by more than 25 Saudi artists exploring the theme of “home” through varied artistic expressions.

The event highlights Ithra's role as a cultural destination in Eastern Region, bringing together local and international experiences through programmes such as Tanween, the 10th edition of the iRead competition, and Ithra Spain Cultural Days, a celebration of Spanish culture through music, art, cinema, and cuisine to promote cultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and Spain.

The center invites the public to stay tuned for the announcement of the full Ithra Winter programme, which will offer months of creativity, cultural experiences, and artistic exploration.
