Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort has announced two key additions to its Food and Beverage (F&B) department.

Ruggiero Gissi joins as Chef de Cuisine at The Beach House, while Grecia Kreis has been appointed Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, overseeing the resort’s dining operations.

Both bring extensive international experience and a shared passion for delivering exceptional gastronomy.

With over 12 years of global expertise, Chef Giss brings a creative approach to The Beach House, renowned for its refined Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and stunning views.

Originally from Italy, he began his career at La Fornarina, building a solid foundation in traditional Italian cuisine before expanding internationally to Bacco Osteria in Bangkok and Aura Verdant Restaurant in Kazakhstan, where he played a prominent role in the pre-opening and staff development.

In 2021, he assumed the role of Sous Chef at Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa in Dubai, later becoming Chef de Cuisine at One&Only Royal Mirage, where he led nine F&B professionals and crafted seasonal menus inspired by Italian and Mediterranean tastes.

He went on to oversee culinary operations at Conrad Dubai, refining its Italian concept restaurant, and most recently spearheaded the launch of Isabella Cucina Italiana.

At The Beach House, Chef Giss will introduce a new chapter of coastal-inspired dining, introducing menus that infuse authentic Mediterranean flavours using seasonal produce.

“It is a privilege to join Anantara The Palm and The Beach House,” said Chef Giss. “I am passionate about creating dishes that honour simplicity, freshness, and a deep connection to the sea, offering guests memorable encounters in a truly breathtaking setting.”

Bringing over a decade of Food and Beverage expertise, Kreis has built an impressive career across Dubai’s most acclaimed hospitality brands.

She began in 2011 at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, ahead of its opening, followed by leadership roles at Burj Al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah, managing renowned venues such as Sahn Eddar Lobby Lounge and Sky View Bar.

Her career continued at Mina A’Salam, at the helm of Bahri Bar, before joining Jumeirah Beach Hotel as Restaurant General Manager for Kitchen Connection, managing over 90 people and serving up to 1,700 guests daily, earning a Highly Commended Manager of the Year nomination in 2019.

Kreis later contributed to Expo 2020 Dubai as Director of F&B Operations, developing strategic frameworks and sponsorship agreements, and most recently played a part in the pre-opening at Address Beach Resort, leading operations across multiple venues and more than 200 professionals.

“I am thrilled to become Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort,” said Kreis. “My passion lies in creating seamless culinary journeys that reflect genuine warmth and outstanding service.”

Michael Robinson, General Manager of Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, commented:“It’s an honour to welcome Chef Gissi and Kreis to these key positions. Anantara offers world-class hospitality, and their distinct perspective and depth of expertise will contribute further to enriching guests’ interactions here on Palm Jumeirah.”  -TradeArabia News Service
