The King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority announced the launch of its first integrated ecotourism season, Tawqi Season, running from October 2025 to April 2026.
The launch, announced during a creative ceremony in the Tawqi area, reflects
the authority's commitment to strengthening the reserve as a leading national
destination for sustainable tourism and supporting Vision 2030 goals for
environmental sustainability and quality of life, reported SPA.
The season now welcomes visitors from both inside and outside the Kingdom,
offering a wide range of activities such as paragliding, horseback riding,
camel riding, and cycling.
It also provides opportunities for
relaxation and meditation under clear skies, heritage trips, birdwatching, and
nature photography.
Authority CEO Maher Al-Gothmi expressed pride in the launch, describing it as a
qualitative shift that embodies the authority's vision to balance protecting
natural ecosystems with providing unique tourism experiences, aiming to raise
environmental awareness and conserve the reserve's rich biodiversity for future
generations.
