Rixos Hotels has recently announced a new partnership with Dubai Cares, a UAE-based global philanthropic organisation, to support its Adopt a School programme in Malawi.

Following the official signing ceremony on October 6th, guests staying across all Rixos Hotels (Rixos Premium Dubai, Rixos The Palm Hotel & Suites, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island, Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah, and Rixos Bab Al Bahr) in the UAE will be invited to be part of this meaningful initiative, with the goal of raising AED 186,000  ($50,646) to fund the construction of a new school in Malawi.

Once built, this school will provide children and adults with vital access to quality education, helping to uplift the community for years to come.

Upon completion, the school in Malawi will be capable of accommodating up to 100 students, creating life-changing opportunities and empowering the next generation of learners.

Beyond the physical infrastructure, the programme will deliver lasting social change through the training of two adult literacy facilitators, enabling 60 men and women in rural Malawi to acquire essential reading and writing skills.

Parents and community members will also contribute approximately 1,000 volunteer workdays to the construction and ongoing maintenance of the school, ensuring a strong sense of ownership and sustainability.

Guests staying across all Rixos Hotels in the UAE can support this life-changing cause by making a donation through dedicated POS machines placed at the hotel lobbies. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help to create a brighter future for children and families in Malawi.

Abdulla Al Shehhi, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Cares, said: “Malawi faces significant educational challenges, with 70 percent of its population living below the poverty line. In such contexts, access to quality education is not just important; it’s essential to breaking the cycle of poverty and creating long-term opportunities. Support from the private sector is crucial in driving meaningful change, and we are grateful to Rixos Hotels in the UAE for partnering with us through the Adopt a School programme in Malawi. Their commitment reflects the power of collaboration in building a more inclusive and brighter future for vulnerable children and their communities.”

Cenk Ünverdi, Chief Operating Officer, Rixos Hotels & ALL-Inclusive Collection, added: "At Rixos Hotels, we have always believed in the strength of community and collective action. This partnership with Dubai Cares allows us to channel the reach of our brand into something with long-term social impact, supporting access to quality education while also encouraging our guests to be part of a meaningful cause." -TrdaeArabia News Service
