Hafeet Rail Company, the developer and operator of the UAE-Oman Rail Network, has announced that it has signed an agreement with Asyad Logistics to provide intermodal train services between the sultanate of Oman and UAE.
The agreement aims to provide an integrated and seamless container transport service along the railway network connecting Oman and the UAE, said Hafeet Rail in a statement.
This comprehensive service encompasses freight transport, port operations, customs clearance, cargo consolidation, and final last-mile delivery, it stated.
Through this partnership with Asyad Logistics, Hafeet Rail will ensure the integration of all supply chain stages into a single, efficient, and sustainable service.
This partnership underscores Hafeet Rail’s commitment to collaborating with a wide network of port operators and logistics partners across the region, reinforcing the role of railways as a fundamental pillar in the Gulf connectivity system, said the statement from Hafeet Rail.
Furthermore, this integrated approach helps unlock new horizons for trade flow, ensures the regular movement of containers, and establishes pioneering standards for efficiency and sustainability in the regional logistics sector, it added.
The Omani Emirati railway network project is the first link in a unified transport and logistics chain that will span the region, delivering mutually beneficial socioeconomic and competitive advantages.
The joint network is a testament to the power of partnership, uniting Etihad Rail, Oman Rail, and Mubadala in a shared vision for a connected and prosperous future, said the statement.
