Kuwait’s first designer hotel will open in the second quarter of this year giving guests a taste of the Missoni lifestyle

Hotel Missoni Kuwait will bring the timeless style, colour and glamour of Italian luxury fashion dynasty Missoni to life for today’s design-conscious traveller.

The Kuwait property is the second to open, after Edinburgh, with several more planned and each Hotel Missoni will be reflective of its location.

With décor designed by creative director Rosita Missoni, one of the original founders of Missoni, the interiors are bold, richly patterned and alive with colour.

For Kuwait she has found inspiration in the brilliant blues and sparkling beaches of the Arabian Gulf.

The interiors have a palette of gold, turquoise and beige combined with the unmistakable Missoni prints.

Over the 18 floors of the property, guests will discover iconic pieces of design, some of which Missoni has in her own home, such as Hans J Wegner’s Wishbone chair.

The lobby will also include large mosaic urns, which will become something of a Hotel Missoni trademark with every hotel featuring these over-sized urns decorated in the colour scheme of the individual property.

Missoni’s signature bold use of colour and striking patterns will bring a cool, contemporary energy to the hotels – not only to the public spaces of the restaurants and bars but also to the private areas of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Each Missoni hotel will have a distinctive individual look.

The Rezidor Hotel Group is launching the brand in partnership with Missoni with the aim of ‘creating a distinctive blend of fashion, function, form and service that adds up to a new genre of genuinely luxurious hotels’.

Hotel Missoni has 106 rooms and 63 suites ranging in size from 75 sq m to the 312-sq-m. Presidential Suite which also boasts a 90-sq-m outside terrace.
