Siyam World Maldives, in collaboration with the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), recently hosted the Discover Tourism: Explore Career Pathways programme.
The resort welcomed students and teachers from nearby Kudafari School for an engaging half-day session designed to inspire the next generation about career opportunities within the tourism industry.
The visit brought together 21 students from Grades 9 and 10, all of whom are pursuing Travel and Tourism studies.
This special program gave them the opportunity to explore the many aspects of resort life, from guest services and culinary operations to recreation and sustainability practices.
Through guided tours, interactive sessions, and hands-on exposure, students were able to gain a real understanding of the skills, teamwork, and passion that drive world-class hospitality.
This session marked the 8th edition of the Discover Tourism initiative, a national program led by MATI that aims to encourage young Maldivians to explore rewarding careers in the tourism industry.
Previous sessions have taken place across other resorts and organisations.
Representing MATI at Siyam World were Rafil Mohamed (Executive Director) and Reena Abdul Wahid (Communications Strategist), who joined the students in this journey of exploration and discovery along with Sun Siyam’s Director of Training and Development Ahmed Ibrahim. -TradeArabia News Service
