The Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) Riyadh 2025 got underway yesterday (May 11) at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah, spotlighting the latest trends, opportunities, and challenges shaping the region’s dynamic hospitality and tourism landscape.

The opening day set a strong tone with several high-profile signings, reinforcing investor confidence and further accelerating Saudi Arabia’s ambitious hospitality growth trajectory.
With an expansive agenda, participation from global and regional industry leaders, and newly introduced features, the three-day summit is poised to drive meaningful dialogue and partnerships across the sector.
The FHS Saudi Arabia programme, over the three days, will address key challenges, opportunities and trends in hospitality and tourism, with leaders from government entities, hospitality companies, investment firms, developers and the education sector on the long and distinguished speaker list.
A brand new feature at Future Hospitality Summit Saudi Arabia, the NextGen Investment Forum aims to inspire top leaders to come together and tackle the most pressing questions surrounding education, training, and talent retention in Saudi Arabia's hospitality industry.
IHG new hotels
In a major announcement, IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, announced the signing of three new hotels in Saudi Arabia. In partnership with Ashaad, a leading Saudi real estate developer, the trio of hotels, Hotel Indigo Jeddah Gate, InterContinental Al Khobar Al Hamra, and voco Al Khobar Al Andalus, further cement IHG’s commitment to the Kingdom’s tourism ambitions and Saudi Vision 2030. All three hotels are expected to open between 2028 and 2030, and together will add more than 1,700 rooms to IHG’s growing portfolio in Saudi Arabia.
BWH announcement
BWH Hotels, in partnership with Optimal Real Estate and Rsoukh Trading Co will develop five new properties across Jeddah and Madinah. The move signals a major step forward in the group’s regional expansion strategy.
A highlight of this announcement is a 540-room Best Western Premier property in Madinah, located just 600 meters from the Prophet’s Mosque.
Amsa project in Qassim
Meanwhile, Amsa Hospitality announced a new four-star hotel project in Qassim in collaboration with Alkayan Alarabi. The property will be located within the Al-Kayan Avenue Mall on Al-Imam Al-Bukhari Road.
