Residents of UAE are opting to travel to international destinations over the usual local staycations, said an industry expert, listing key travel trends for Eid this year.

People are choosing to travel to nearby locations such as Georgia, Armenia for the long weekend, added Daryll Diagro, Marketing Manager, Leva Hotels.

Meanwhile, the favourable weather, number of tourist attractions and relaxed travel restriction makes Dubai one of the most sought after locations for visitors from GCC countries. “We are receiving bookings and anticipating more occupancy during Eid from neighbouring countries such as KSA and Kuwait,” she added.

The impact of inflation on the global economy has made travelers more conscious about their expenses and spending. This has resulted in a preference for cost-friendly hotels and accommodations.

“People are looking for competitive rates. deals and comparing offers made by different hotels versus amenities provided, before making their staying decisions. This has urged hotels to adjust their rates accordingly in order to remain competitive and attract guests during the Eid season,” Diagro said. – TradeArabia News Service
