SSH names two senior architecture directors

SSH, a leading master planning and building design company in the Middle East, has announced the appointment of two senior architecture executives - Shane Lahiff has been named the Director (Design) and Sami Abou Merhi the Director (Delivery).

SSH, one of the leading master planning, infrastructure, building design and construction supervision firms in the Middle East, has announced the appointment of two senior architecture executives to its global team.
 
Shane Lahiff has been appointed the new Architecture Director (Design), while Sami Abou Merhi is the new Architecture Director (Delivery). 
 
Together with their teams, Lahiff and Merhi will be focusing on design quality, design management, as well as improved efficiency, ultimately resulting in greater client satisfaction and business growth.
 
With 15 years of diverse project experience, Lahiff is a veteran who has led design projects across the GCC, the UK and Ireland. 
 
He joined SSH in 2016 and has had a key role in expanding the company’s design portfolio across the region, specialising in large-scale, mixed-use, master planning and hospitality projects, said the statement from the company.
 
Lahiff has collaborated with top international brands, delivering award-winning hotel projects in Oman, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. 
 
A graduate of Dublin School of Architecture, he holds a professional diploma in architecture from University College Dublin.
 
New to SSH, Abou Merhi has successfully led the design on many competitions and projects over the past 20+ years. 
 
Having worked on every aspect of projects design, from concept to implementation, his experience, passion and creativity have ensured the success of many prominent projects across different countries, said the statement from SSH.
 
Abou Merhi's diverse portfolio spans a wide spectrum of sectors, including hospitality and resorts, mixed-use, high-rise, healthcare, cultural and residential. 
 
Having worked with international firms at managerial positions, he brings a deep knowledge of the GCC and European markets coupled with a wealth of experience in the architecture field with a hands-on approach.
