The soon-to-open Radisson RED Dubai Silicon Oasis, located in Dubai’s first smart city, has announced its leading lineup of creatives.

Stuart Birkwood comes on board as the curator of Radisson RED, Dubai Silicon Oasis. A highly accomplished hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry, Birkwood has previously worked for several renowned brands such as Sheraton Hotels, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and most recently for the Marriot Hotel Group. Bringing his extensive experience alongside his passion for hospitality, Birkwood is responsible for introducing and overseeing Radisson RED in the region. He will lead an international team of many language speakers, dancers, DJs, artists, but most importantly, passionate and skilled individuals who love what they do.

To support Birkwood and manage the bars, restaurants and meeting spaces in the hotel, South African national Nicole Weitsz joins the team as lead food and beverage (F&B). Previously heading operations at Radisson RED Cape Town, Weitsz has worked her way up the ranks over the past 20 years across sales, marketing and operations departments gaining significant experience through her roles. Weitsz has also been at the forefront of innovation in music and has taken a mantle alongside many greats to spearhead female empowerment in the industry. She is also a firm believer of living sustainably, aiming towards reducing food waste and highlighting the environment through various activations in her role at Radisson RED. Weitsz is primarily responsible for daily operations and events conceptualisation at all F&B outlets to drive revenue.

Taking charge of HR at the hotel is lead coach, Nihel Busman. A Tunisian national, Busman comes from a background of working across several hotels in the Radisson Hotel Group over the past 10 years. With a passion for fashion, Busman has dreamed of being a part of the design world since childhood as she grew watching her mother craft elegant pieces. Now she combines her love for community and people with Radisson RED’s fashion ethos to be a part of a design-led brand and support a leading team of creatives at the hotel. Busman will be responsible for helping them grow both themselves and their careers through continuous training and development.

The talented French native, Chef Thierry Gallas is on board as lead kitchen for Radisson RED, Dubai Silicon Oasis. Gallas has cooked his way across some of the finest culinary institutions, whilst working alongside some of the most hardworking and innovative international Chefs during his career. A talented chef with an impressive pedigree, Gallas brings with him a solid understanding of working in hotel kitchens along with a love for Jazz and 90s Pop music. In his current role, he will oversee the F&B outlets at Radisson RED, Dubai Silicon Oasis ensuring the delivery of cultured and flavourful food for its customers.

The hotel will be led by a strong communications and sales team as well, with Colette Sullivan as lead marketing and communications bringing her creative expertise to the market. Colette was a part of the core team responsible for the launch of the first Radisson RED in the UK. She brings her successful Radisson RED opening experience to support the establishment of the brand in the Middle East region through strategic communications and innovative brand partnerships.

She will be joined by Julia Paslyon as lead sales. With over 14 years of experience, Paslyon has worked across an impressive nine Radisson Hotels in three cities and joins the team with a wealth of experience and an energetic persona. An enthusiastic and self-motivated personnel, Paslyon is tasked with overseeing all commercial activities of the brand, driving revenue and ensuring the maximisation of all opportunities for profit generation. - TradeArabia News Service
