CENTRALLY located for business in Amman and only half hour away from Queen Alia International Airport, the Landmark Amman Hotel and Conference Centre is ideal not only for the business and corporate traveller, but for leisure guests looking to do day trips to the Dead Sea and other attractions across Jordan. Guests booked in an executive room can avail of the hotels airport pick up. As I exited custom and baggage area of the airport, we were warmly greeted by the friendly driver and quickly escorted into our limousine heading to the hotel. Once in the car, the driver asked how my flight was and then he received a call from the assistant front office manager who also welcomed me to Amman and asked about my journey and that he would be waiting for me on arrival. Although I have had the drivers welcome me warmly and been greeted by senior staff on arrival at not only hotels in Jordan but other destinations, this is the first time that I have had a call from a senior manager on route to the hotel. A warm welcome, indeed!
On arrival at the hotel, I was welcomed by the Assistant Front Office Manager and check in was quick, friendly and efficient and was then accompanied to my room where I was briefed on all the facilities available in the hotel as an executive floor quest as well as all other key aspects and dinning options which include complementary broadband internet access, access to the executive wing lounge and restaurant, complimentary daily newspaper, daily shirt dry cleaning or pressing service and access to Fitness ‘n’ wellness Heath Club.
The hotel offers 37 Executive King or 20 Executive Twin rooms. Located on the top three floors of the hotel, the Executive Rooms are elegantly designed to provide a relaxing and luxurious environment. The Executive rooms, where we checked in, were spacious with a large bedroom and lounge area, which is as good as a separate room, sitting up a couple of stairs above. Ideal for business guests, the room also features a comfortable sofa and working desk, which was very welcoming as I found my evenings were spent working at my computer on that days meeting follow ups, then sitting down to relax. I did use the Fitness centre during my stay, and although the fitness area itself isn’t large, it was fully equipped with the latest cardio and weight machines. Also available is a tennis court, the Zest Pool and a full range of Spa and beauty treatments.
Executive room guests have access to the executive lounge, the ideal venue for an evening drink and snack. If the weather permits, as it did for us, we highly recommend a table outside at the Breathe Outdoor Terrance. This venue offers fantastic views of the city from the top floor terrace with comfortable sofa’s to relax and enjoy the scenery. There are eight other food and beverage options at the Landmark from Colours, the all day dinning restaurant, which also serves the daily buffet breakfast, Turquoise Fine Dining serving traditional Turkish cuisine , Mint Lobby lounge and Sugar Cube Juice bar to name a few.
Over the three busy working days, the hotel and staff made my coming back each evening, welcoming, refreshing and comfortable and proved to be over the next three days, my home and office! Landmark Amman Hotel & Conference Centre definitely lives up to its strap line “Business and Beyond!
