SHERATON Nha Trang Hotel & Spa opened earlier this year in what is widely thought of as one of Vietnam’s most beautiful bays.
The 30-storey property delivers dazzling sea views from each of its 284 rooms and a collection of restaurants and bars which immediately established Nha Trang as a culinary destination for a host of new reasons.
Three years under construction, the hotel offers 10 classes of accommodation, from spacious deluxe rooms to 70-sq-m executive suites and a 182-sq-m presidential suite.
All the rooms have balconies and Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds are standard.
At the zenith of the property is Altitude, a multi-purpose events room on the 28th floor with panoramic views, and three floors below, the Sheraton Club Lounge delivers a sumptuous, multi-dimensional, uplifting guest experience.
The hotel also has a range of pools and bars, a fitness centre and kids’club and is home to Vietnam’s first purpose-built cookery school.
And in another first, this time throughout mainland Asia, the hotel has been chosen to debut the Shine Spa with its nine treatment rooms.
On the dining side the Sheraton introduces yet another first, this time for the entire Starwood group, in Steam ‘n’ Spice, a restaurant which celebrates the best of Asia’s streets with a cheery indoor space.
Or there is Feast, a tried-and-true culinary concept which taps the heritage of Italy, India and a number of distinct Asian locales.
For less leisurely pursuits, the hotel is shaping up as a magnet for businesses and conferences with up to 1,600 sq m of ballroom space available and there is also a 24-hour business centre.
Debbie Chee, director of sales and marketing said: “Since our inception, in March 2010, we have witnessed enthusiastic responses from both international and local markets. There are a number of factors that contribute to our success in the local market: the steady growth of the Vietnamese economy in recent years, the development of a high-spending, middle-age class in Vietnam, the government efforts in promoting the country’s tourism and, last but not least, Nha Trang as a potential destination for Mice tourism.
“Being one of the most beautiful bays of the world, Nha Trang has been a well-known destination among global travellers, however it did not have many international-standard hospitality properties to match its reputation. Our hotel is proud to be a pioneer in the local industry.
