$520m wellness village set to be developed in Oman

Musstir has signed an agreement with Oman's Ministry of Housing to develop a wellness village project in Jabal Al Akhdar, with an investment of up to OMR200 million ($520 million). Oman’s Environment Authority has signed an agreement to develop Al Saleel Natural Park Reserve in the Wilayat of Al Kamil Wal Wafi, South A’Sharqiyah Governorate, at a total cost of RO 2.6 million ($6.7 million). The project is expected to boost the tourism sector in the governorate and create job opportunities related to tourism.

Oman to open 9,600 new hotel rooms by 2030

Oman is set to open 9,600 new hotel rooms between now and 2030, with 2,600 scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, says real estate advisory group and property consultant, Cavendish Maxwell. The upcoming keys will boost Oman’s existing inventory of 36,000 rooms by more than 25%, the company said.
