Global Village will open its doors today (October 14) for Season 31, welcoming guests to ‘A More Wonderful World’ with new attractions, entertainment, dining and cultural experiences.

The destination will operate until May 2027, continuing its 30-year legacy of bringing together cultures and communities in Dubai.

The new season features 29 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, over 3,500 shopping outlets, more than 250 dining options, 40,000 shows and over 200 attractions.

Opening-day celebrations include a cultural parade, choir performance, confetti display and a spectacular drone show featuring 600 drones.

Fernando Eiroa, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Entertainment, said: “Global Village holds a special place in people’s lives because of the connections they make here, with their own roots, with other cultures and the people they visit alongside. It has become a much-loved tradition for families and friends, reflecting the welcoming, multicultural spirit of the UAE.”

Season 31 introduces refreshed experiences at the Sri Lanka Pavilion and the Russia and Azerbaijan pavilion, alongside renewed façades at the Syria and Kuwait pavilions.

New Season 31 and Kids Passports will allow visitors to collect stamps as they explore different cultural destinations.

Dining remains a key feature, with new additions including Trabzon Turkish Restaurant, Robo Al Sham, Hawawshi Al Rabie and Chicking at Restaurant Plaza.

New cafés, including Vinci Dolci, Emir Bey Gourmet and Uzungol Café, further expand the offering.

Family attractions include returning favourites such as Dragon Kingdom, The Horror Hotel, Secrets of the Lost City and Exo Planet City.

The Festival Wheel also returns with refreshed carts, while the new Tokyo Rush roller coaster is scheduled to debut later in the season.

Entertainment highlights include Fast Live 2: The Police Strike Back, Bollywood Idol and Bank Heist, alongside returning show Slam.

Children can also enjoy appearances by Care Bears and PJ Masks at the Kids Theatre.

The destination has introduced improvements to parking, signage, ticketing and accessibility, including additional family washrooms and a WhatsApp chatbot to assist visitors.

Global Village operates from 4pm to midnight from Sunday to Wednesday and until 1am from Thursday to Saturday and on public holidays.

Tuesdays are reserved for families and ladies, except on public holidays. Tickets are available online, through the mobile app and at entrance counters. -TradeArabia News Service
