Oman Air increased capacity to Salalah by 16 per cent during the 2026 Khareef season, carrying 270,000 passengers into the city between mid-June and mid-September.
Passenger numbers rose 9 per cent compared with 2025, with June recording growth of 24 per cent.
At peak demand in August, the airline operated up to 15 daily flights to Salalah, including additional Boeing 787-9 services.
Oman Air also launched a three-times-weekly Dubai–Salalah service in July, adding more than 4,900 seats per month, and operated scheduled charter flights between Bahrain and Salalah during July and August.
The Dubai service will continue beyond the Khareef season, supporting Dhofar’s development as a year-round tourism destination.
