The First Cortina by The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts is set to open in early December 2026, bringing a new five-star luxury hotel to the heart of Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy’s Dolomites.
Located on Corso Italia, the property has undergone a
complete transformation led by Studio Marincola Architects, with a design
centred on conservation, wellbeing and the surrounding landscape.
A continuous ribbon of glass frames mountain views, while
Dolomia stone and fir wood create a warm, contemporary interior.
The hotel will feature 76 rooms and suites, each with a
private balcony overlooking the UNESCO-protected Dolomites.
The 140-square-metre Enrosadira Penthouse includes three
bedrooms, a 50-square-metre terrace, sauna, Turkish bath, kitchen and private
dining area.
Dining will include Zuma, offering contemporary Japanese
cuisine, and Velo, the hotel’s signature Italian restaurant serving breakfast,
pastries, chocolates and afternoon tea.
Wellness will be led by REVĪVŌ Spa, spanning two floors and
featuring a panoramic pool, treatment rooms, sauna and traditional hammam.
Guests will also have access to a gym, beauty services and a
dedicated Ski Room with mountain guides, instructors and equipment rental.
Set close to Cortina’s ski lifts and within reach of
Venice’s airports, the property aims to become a new social and luxury
destination in the Dolomites.
The opening expands The Pavilions’ European presence and
introduces its Curated Journeys philosophy to Cortina, combining contemporary
design, local craftsmanship, wellness and the natural character of the
mountains. -TTN
