Digital Abu Dhabi Pass streamlines access to attractions and transport

Abu Dhabi is rolling out the new digital Abu Dhabi Pass, designed to enhance visitor experience and simplify access to the emirate’s attractions and services. Abu Dhabi Pass is a collaboration between the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Etihad Airways, and offers tourists a range of benefits, including free data, transportation access, and discounts on cultural sites and entertainment.
The pass is accessible to Etihad Airways passengers via a dedicated website link sent after booking, eliminating the need for app downloads or additional costs. Key features of Abu Dhabi Pass: • Free tourist SIM Card: 10GB of data to stay connected. • Unlimited public transport: Access to public buses throughout Abu Dhabi. • Hop-on-hop-off access: 24-hour unlimited rides on hop-on-hop-off tourist buses covering key city attractions. • Cultural discounts: 15% off at premier venues like Qasr Al Watan and Louvre Abu Dhabi. • Yas Island savings: Special rates at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi, and Yas Waterworld. • Dining and experiences: Deals at over 200 restaurants and savings on desert safaris and city tours. With the new Abu Dhabi Pass, DCT Abu Dhabi aims to make the emirate a more accessible and attractive destination for global travellers – showcasing the best of Abu Dhabi and providing a seamless experience for visitors. The initiative builds on the success of Etihad Airways’ stopover programme, which welcomed 85,000 international visitors in 2024, a substantial increase from 12,000 in 2023. The airline anticipates hosting over 130,000 stopover guests in 2025. Passengers booking stopovers through etihad.com can also take advantage of complimentary hotel stays in Abu Dhabi of up to two nights, effectively getting two holidays for the price of one. Abu Dhabi Pass aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to attract 39.3 million visitors, create 178,000 new tourism jobs, and increase the sector’s GDP contribution to AED 90 billion by 2030. Recent infrastructure developments, such as the new Terminal A at Zayed International Airport, and a growing calendar of cultural and entertainment events are also contributing to this goal. With Abu Dhabi Pass, visitors can now enjoy incredible value while experiencing the best that the emirate has to offer: www.theabudhabipass.com
