The allure of Austria as a holiday destination is reflected in the significant increase in overnight stays by GCC travellers. From January to October 2023, Austria welcomed 451,600 arrivals from the GCC, resulting in 1,377,400 overnight stays, a 33.01 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2022.

Michael Tauschmann, Director of the Austrian National Tourist Office in the Middle East, highlights this trend: “The increasing popularity of Austria as a holiday destination among GCC travellers is a testament to our diverse and quality experiences.
