Saudi Air Navigation Services wins top safety ranking

Saudi Air Navigation Services Company has won the fifth place in the International Safety Achievement Award constituted by Civil Air Navigation Services Organization for its air safety standards and efficiency of air traffic controller's performance.

Saudi Air Navigation Services Company (Sans) has won the fifth place in the International Safety Achievement Award constituted by Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (Cansco).
 
Sans was the only company from the Gulf region and Middle East countries to be included in the final list of the best international entries after being shortlisted from a record-breaking number of submissions from companies around the world.
 
This high ranking in a global award reflects the important position the kingdom's civil aviation sector holds around the world and conveys the focus on air safety and the efficiency of air traffic controller's performance, as well as strengthening the position of the Sans as a leader in the aviation industry regionally and internationally.
 
Cansco launched this global corporate award with the aim of contributing to the reduction of aviation risks during the twelve months that precede its annual presentation.
 
Sans focuses on everything related to safety and has implemented specialized programmes aimed at strengthening the safety culture in all its operations, facilities and departments. 
 
Commitment and participation in safety and safety efficiency for air traffic controllers is paramount for developing the culture of reporting, learning, internal communication and awareness plans, which is also reflected in raising the level of air navigation safety in the kingdom.
 
The company seeks to continue moving forward to achieve more, and to forge its leadership path in the field of air navigation services at all levels. 
 
In addition to this achievement, the company obtained the ISO certification for health, safety and environmental management systems, and for maintenance engineering and aviation information systemsm, stated Sans.
 
Furthermore, the company also completed the project of supplying and installing navigational systems for Neom Bay Airport within the span of only 77 days, and is currently implementing a number of navigation systems projects for numerous airports in the region.
 
Sans plays a fundamental and important role in the safety of aircraft movement and provides air traffic services to all aircraft transiting the kingdom's airspace or using its airports, it stated.
