Yactine … rooms bookable by the hour

Gulf Hotels Group has announced an exciting new project – its first airport hotel, soon to open at the new Bahrain International Airport, Fares Yactine, the group’s newly promoted area general manager, tells TTN.

This newest addition to the Gulf Hotels Group properties will be called the Bahrain Airport Hotel, managed and operated by the Gulf Hotels Group under the newly incorporated company as a joint venture with the Gulf Air Group Holding, founded in 2010 to consolidate the aviation assets of Mumtalakat, Bahrain's sovereign wealth fund.

Bahrain Airport Hotel is located opposite departure gate 15 in the new Bahrain International Airport. Equipped with spacious family rooms, luxurious standard rooms, well-appointed compact rooms and state-of-the-art sleeping pods, this hotel will provide passengers with everything they need to have a comfortable stay.

“The airport hotel will be located on the airside and offer comfortable pods, compact rooms, standard rooms and family rooms,” Gulf Hotels Group area general manager, Fares Yactine, tells TTN. “This will be an 83-key property with 24 sleeping pods, 17 compact rooms, 24 standard rooms, 17 family rooms and 1 room equipped with facilities for the physically challenged; what’s more, all these facilities may be booked by the hour.

"With the flexibility of being able to book rooms or pods from two hours and upwards, the hotel enables passengers to grab a quick nap prior of boarding for their next destination. It is also the perfect solution in case of missed or cancelled flights", says Yactine.

“If there’s insufficient time for a power nap, the hotel also offers a full spa service, operated by ‘The Gulf Spa’ with a range of relaxing massages and treatments,” says the area general manager, “Due to its connection with the Gulf Air Business Lounge, the hotel will not offer separate F&B facilities.”

Gulf Hotels Group recently announced the promotion of Fares Yactine as area general manager from his most recent role of general manager The Gulf Hotel Convention & Spa, Bahrain’s legendary five-star property.

His responsibility has now been extended to Gulf Hotel Group’s other properties in Bahrain and Dubai, he clarifies. “In addition to the Gulf Hotel Convention & Spa, Gulf Executive Residence and Gulf Executive Residence Juffair, I am now overlooking the K Hotel, a property managed by the Gulf Hotel Group located in Juffair and the Gulf Court Hotel Business Bay, a property owned and managed by the Gulf Hotel Group that was opened in Dubai early last year.”
