Munich Airport introduces personal shopping service for Arabic travellers
Munich Airport has launched its new Personal Shopping Service tailored specifically for Arabic travellers.
This summer, passengers departing on flights at Terminal 1 with leading airlines such as Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, Kuwait Airlines, Oman Air, Saudia and Gulf Air will have access to a dedicated team of Arabic-speaking shopping assistants – fluent in both, the language and culture.
The Personal Shopping Service invites travellers to explore the exclusive range of products available at Munich Airport’s MyDutyFree shops. Offering a curated selection of halal and alcohol-free products, passengers can indulge in regional confectionery from esteemed producers and renowned chocolatier houses such as Neuhaus.
Boeing delays ‘hit flydubai expansion’
Dubai-based flydubai has announced that its expansion plans have been significantly impacted by Boeing’s latest update regarding ongoing delays in its aircraft delivery schedule. The carrier is currently evaluating its route development plans and potential frequency revision across the network due to a lack of new aircraft deliveries over the next few months.
flydubai’s plans for this year were initially based on the commitment to receive 14 new aircraft, the airline mentioned in a statement.
KM Malta Airlines launches new trade site
KM Malta Airlines has launched its new trade-site designed to be an essential resource for its trade partners.

Additionally, it includes an extensive list of FAQs to assist their trade partners with day-to-day inquiries. Etihad Batik Air Malaysia launch codeshare
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, and Batik Air Malaysia have enhanced their cooperation with the launch of a codeshare partnership to boost connectivity for passengers of both airlines.
Etihad’s guests can now seamlessly access eight domestic and international locations via Batik’s hub at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), enjoying the combined services and networks of both carriers on a single ticket.
Additionally, guests enjoy the convenience of having their luggage smoothly transferred to their final destination. The agreement now allows Etihad guests to conveniently travel to five new domestic codeshare destinations in Malaysia: Johor Bahru, Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Tawau; along with three international points, Da Nang and Hanoi in Vietnam, and Perth in Australia.
Air Samarkand expands to Saudi Arabia
On July 30, 2024, Air Samarkand successfully operated an inaugural passenger flight from Samarkand to Jeddah, marking a new milestone in the airline’s operations by supporting religious pilgrims.
The carrier’s Airbus A321neo aircraft departed from Samarkand on June 30, at 0:05am and arrived in Jeddah at 03:10am local time, carrying 188 passengers to a city renowned for being a gathering point for pilgrims travelling to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
The airline will operate two flights every Tuesday.
Last month, Air Samarkand also started direct flights to Madinah on an Airbus A330.
