Best of Czech attractions showcased at Mideast roadshow

VisitCzechia, in association with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Qatar and Kuwait, strengthened connections and highlighted the diverse attractions of the country, during the two-week-long Middle East Road Show 2023.

Running from October 30 to November 2, it covered prominent cities across the Middle East, namely Doha, Kuwait City, and Dubai.

The roadshow, aimed at establishing robust ties between the Czech tourism industry and the Middle Eastern market, presented the country’s multifaceted offerings, with an emphasis on spa and wellness retreats and leisure destinations.

It also featured B2B meetings and a networking dinner with travel agents, facilitating dialogue and relationship-building opportunities.

The event was held in partnership with airline partners: Qatar Airways in Doha, Jazeera Airways in Kuwait, and Emirates Airlines in Dubai

The roadshow hosted a delegation comprising 13 partners representing a spectrum of entities, including DMC’s, hotels, spa resorts and medical tourism sectors from the Czech Republic.

The workshops drew in over 70 travel agents in Doha, 60 travel agents in Kuwait City, and 65 travel agents in Dubai.

Notably, travel from Middle East countries to the Czech Republic has surged significantly, showcasing a year-on-year increase of 32.68 per cent compared to the previous year. In 2022, the Czech Republic warmly welcomed over 25,829 travellers from the Middle East, involving an average stay duration of 3.35 days.
