‘Family time is more important than ever’

Share

It’s no secret that properties under Anantara Hotels & Resorts banner in the Middle East leave no stone unturned when it comes to family-friendly activities.

Kids visiting Anantara’s resorts on Sir Bani Yas Island can visit an animal farm, enjoy kayaking or hop on the banana boat for a splashing good time. For more serene moments, Anantara Spa offers parent and child packages at Anantara The Palm Dubai. Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, which has its own water park, will be adding a huge adventure park to the facilities on the island later this year.

For some, what may have previously been perceived as a luxury is now a must-have

We spoke to Amir Golbarg, Senior Vice President Operations – Middle East & Africa, Minor Hotels, the parent company of Anantara Hotels & Resorts, to know more about family holidays.

“Family time has become even more important than before. As well as the need for award-winning facilities, parents desire experiences that families can share. They are looking for deeper connections with the destination, to share unforgettable moments on their holiday.”

As families have a renewed desire to connect with each other, they are seeking experiences they can enjoy together. This can vary from cooking classes, parent and spa activities or adventures that are suitable for all ages, says Golbarg. “All of our Anantara properties across the Middle East offer a Kids’ Club and an array of family-friendly diversions.

“Holidays are a break from real life so the heartfelt hospitality and signature service that Anantara is known for are attractive to families. For some, what may have previously been perceived as a luxury is now a must-have. Onsite children’s activities and family-friendly facilities, alongside restaurants and a high level of service take the stress out of holidays for families.

“Families are also looking to book beach holidays all year round. As the Middle East enjoys a temperate climate throughout the year and many of our hotels and resorts are situated on or near the beach, we can deliver coastal adventures throughout different seasons,” Golbarg tells us.

Children under 12 enjoy endless fun at the Kids’ Club, whether they’re staying at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar in the mountains in Oman or Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara in the Liwa Desert in Abu Dhabi. Many properties offer Teens’ Clubs with games, consoles, books and space to mingle with other teens.

“Kids will create lifelong memories in fun classes and daily programmes that engage and excite. From archery to kids’ yoga, and Spice Spoons cookery classes where parents and children can join together to make a tasty meal under the guidance of our professional chef.”
