Etihad Rail launches safety drive in preparation for passenger service

Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE’s national railway network, has launched a nationwide rail safety campaign, marking a significant step in preparation for the introduction of passenger services across the country.

A high-level delegation comprising Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, Etihad Rail CEO Shadi Malak, and senior officials experienced a pre-launch journey on Etihad Rail’s passenger service, which is due to commence commercial operations in 2026.
