Saudi Arabia's Diriyah Company has awarded a SAR2.7 billion ($723.54 million) contract to build the Waldorf Astoria superblock, to a joint venture between Hassan Allam Construction Saudi Limited and Urbacon Saudi Company, a subsidiary of UCC Holding.

Hassan Allam, a leading engineering and construction group, said its subsidiary, Hassan Allam Construction Saudi along with its joint venture partner UCC Holding Saudi, has officially signed the contract for Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Residences, & Mixed Use Superblock in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Indian infrastructure group Ashoka Buildcon said its joint venture with Saudi-based BEC Arabia Contracting has secured the main construction works contract for a hotel project within Saudi Arabia's giga development - Diriyah, The City of Earth, coming up near Riyadh.
