IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Kleek Development to develop a 250-key Crowne Plaza hotel in Sixth Settlement, New Cairo, with opening scheduled for the first quarter of 2031.
Kleek Development is a joint venture between Emaar Al Delta
for Contracting and Real Estate Investment and Modern Style Home Real Estate
Company.
The project will expand IHG’s premium hospitality portfolio
in Egypt and cater to growing demand for internationally branded hotels in the
capital.
Located within a rapidly developing mixed-use corridor,
Crowne Plaza New Cairo will serve the area’s expanding business, commercial and
residential communities.
Continued infrastructure investment, population growth and
rising activity among domestic and international businesses have strengthened
New Cairo’s position as one of Egypt’s fastest-growing districts.
The hotel will feature guest rooms and suites, four dining
venues, including an all-day dining restaurant and a lobby lounge.
Facilities will include six meeting and event spaces,
including meeting rooms and a dedicated ballroom, alongside a swimming pool,
fitness centre, spa and retail outlets.

The property will incorporate Crowne Plaza’s flexible

The signing underscores IHG’s expansion strategy in Egypt.
The company currently operates 10 hotels in the country and
has another 28 in its development pipeline, highlighting the market’s
